Frequently asked questions

Is the mounting bracket included?

Yes. Each floating shelf includes its corresponding concealed wooden mounting bracket. The bracket installs on the wall, and the shelf slides over it to create the floating appearance.
What type of lighting is used in the LED shelves?

Our hardwired LED shelves feature 12V DC LED strip lighting in 3000K warm white.
The lighting is installed behind a diffuser to create a smooth, continuous line
of light without prominent individual LED dots.
Are your floating shelves made to order?

Yes. Each shelf is handcrafted to order by JP Interior Works. You can select from the available lengths and depths shown on the product page, and custom dimensions may also be available.
What sizes are available?

Please contact us for any size you are needing, and we can reply with a custom quote and options for that sizing.

What wood species and finishes are available?

Our primary wood options are white oak and walnut. Available finishes are shown on each product listing. We believe these two wood species make the most beautiful shelves and we pride ourselves in the best quality finished product possible. Because wood is a natural material, every shelf will have its own unique grain and color variation. Finish samples are available.

How thick are the shelves?

Our standard floating shelves have a finished thickness of approximately 3 inches, creating a substantial appearance while allowing space for the concealed mounting system. We are adding more products to the website, and capable of making a wide variety of thicknesses.
